Stop Fearing Carbs!

Aug 4, 2020

You see, carbs aren’t bad for you, and they honestly get a bad rep sometimes.

Your body love carbs ❤️

Carbs are your body’s #1 fuel source. That is why when you go from eating 200g of carbs a day down to 50g, you end up feeling horrible! #foodisfuel

  • You probably experienceMood swings/irritability
  • Brain fog
  • Low energy/fatigue
  • Poor performance when working out

When lacking proper amount of carbs for your body composition and lifestyle, your body doesn’t just store carbs as fat. The only way you will gain excess fat is when you’re constantly consuming too many calories in general “which includes all macros” not just carbs.

A lot of people think that if I consume large amounts of carbs, I’ll blow up. It doesn’t work that way. You gain quality muscle when training and eating clean, portioned carbs. You gain excess fat from just eating without moderation.

Carbs help digestion! You need carbs for fiber which is great for your GI. That’s why low carb dieters tend to have gas and constipation.

If your workouts are lagging, it’s probably because you’re not fueled properly. How can you expect your vehicle to run on an empty tank of gas? It won’t. You need carbs to fuel your workouts, brain, heart and more!

So if you are fearful of carbs (FACT: I used to be!), stop listening to fear based marketing tactics that tell you to fear certain foods ❌   Understand if it came from the earth, it’s probably not bad for you.

You can eat carbs and have your goal body, too 💚
